Reviewer Guidelines

1. Confidentiality

  • Treat manuscripts as confidential; do not share or discuss them outside the editorial team.
  • Do not use information from the review process for personal advantage.

2. Objectivity and Fairness

  • Provide unbiased, constructive, and objective assessment.
  • Avoid personal comments; focus on the content and scholarly quality.

3. Timeliness

  • Complete the review within the specified time frame (usually 2-4 weeks). If you need more time, inform the editorial team as soon as possible.
  • If you cannot review the manuscript, notify the editorial team promptly so that they can find an alternative reviewer.

4. Ethical Standards

  • Report any ethical concerns (plagiarism, duplicate publication, or fraudulent data) immediately.
  • Ensure no conflict of interest affects your review.

5. Review Content

  • Introduction: Assess clarity of research problem, objectives, and significance.
  • Literature Review: Evaluate comprehensiveness and relevance.
  • Methodology: Examine research design, methods, rigor, and suggest improvements.
  • Results: Review clarity, accuracy, and effective use of tables/figures.
  • Discussion & Conclusion: Ensure discussion relates to results and conclusions are supported.
  • References: Check relevance, currency, and conformity to journal citation style.

6. Feedback and Recommendations

  • Provide detailed, constructive comments highlighting strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Recommend to the editorial team:
    • Accept without revision
    • Minor revisions
    • Major revisions
    • Reject

7. Constructive Criticism

  • Focus on actionable feedback to improve manuscript quality.
  • Be respectful and courteous even when suggesting major revisions or rejection.

8. Anonymity

  • Follow double-blind review: neither reviewer nor author knows each other’s identity.

9. Detailed Report

  • Submit a detailed review report, including:
    • Summary of the manuscript
    • Evaluation of each section (Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion)
    • Specific comments on originality, clarity, methodology, and relevance
    • Final recommendation

10. Post-Review

  • Be available for follow-up questions from the editorial team.
  • Be prepared to review revised versions if requested.
